Survivor: South Pacific is the 23rd season of the American reality television show Survivor. The season was filmed in Samoa and aired on CBS in 2011. The season featured 18 castaways, divided into two tribes: the Savaii tribe and the Upolu tribe. The season was notable for its twist of Redemption Island, where voted-out castaways could compete for a chance to return to the game.
The season was won by Sophie Clarke, a 22-year-old medical student, who beat out Coach Wade and Albert Destrade in the final three. Clarke was known for her strategic gameplay and her ability to fly under the radar, as well as her ability to win crucial immunity challenges.
Survivor: South Pacific was also notable for featuring returning castaway Coach Wade, who had previously competed on Survivor: Tocantins and Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains. Despite his reputation as a polarizing and over-the-top player, Coach was able to form strong alliances and stay in the game until the final three.

It is also notable for introducing a number of memorable castaways, including Ozzy Lusth, who had previously competed on Survivor: Cook Islands, Survivor: Micronesia, and Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains.
